Underneath the seeming diversity of the world's many social and environmental problems -- there is ultimately the more fundamental problem with how human beings are in relationship with each other, earth and ourselves.

The Compassion Coalition is an organization that aims to encourage healthy, kind, caring and supportive relationships between humans, community, place, and earth.

We recognize that everyone is capable of engaging in healthy, kind, caring and supportive relationships; and we recognize that increasing the number of these relationships is fundamental to creating a better, more beautiful and joyful world.

We recognize that the solutions to many of the world's social and environmental problems must ultimately come from forces of love, kindness, empathy, compassion, creativity and joy. Essentially, solutions lie with "Human Virtues" - an expression of the goodness that lies within human beings in their highest and most creative selves.

We recognize the wisdom of the human heart and are champions of the essential goodness of human beings. We recognize compassion as a central organizing principle in all human endeavors, from raising a child to growing food; from being a friend to running a business; from being a member of community to being a person in government.

The Compassion Coalition is dedicated to working with and supporting compassionate leaders in whatever sector they are found; be it in business, government, education, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, communities or families.
